The eden wt800 seemed to run out of juice for me when i tried one also. I get more volume with my wt550. heard a few people have had the same problem.

aguilar db750 vs. Epifani UL-902C

I'm a DB750 user of some 5 years and love it, but, I'd like to hear an SA200 really just to hear if it'd be loud enough? (I'm sure the tone is fabulous) I bought the DB750 as I was running out of juice with a bridge mono Eden WT800B, it was rated at 1100w into 4ohms, the DB has much more headroom even though it's 750w into 4ohms? Aguilar amps sound best with Aguilar cabs in my experience.
Don't know if the SA would have enough juice for me? Love to have one though.
It really depends on how loud you need to be in your situation. I doubt 200 TUBE WATTS would not be enough for 95% of most people's playing needs. I know for me it would be ample and from reading a lot of posts from other users the SA200 with the right cab puts out quite a bit of volume. Maybe not the same as a DB750 or Glock Heart Rock for that matter, which I have had a listen to and it puts quite a bit of heft and volume, which is what you would expect from Lead Sled type of amps.
The big issue is how clean you want your tone. As has been posted many times, a watt is pretty much a watt. Of course with an all tube amp like the SA200, you can push that amp beyond its clean wattage rating and it will get loud as heck, and to some it still sounds good (the snarly, growly thing). If you want a totally clean sound at high volume, you should look elsewhere (i.e., a high powered solid state power section).

I play the 902C and dig it 1000% ! a great plug & play amp !
I used to have the 750 some years ago - it was broken 2 times in 3 month and even today a salesman of a big music shop here told me that they do have this problem today (with the amps that they've sold in their shop)

I for one never had a problem with my DB750s and no one I have known have ever had a problem with one. As far as cabs go...I would definitely check out Aguilar cabs as they seem to be voiced particularly well with the DB750 and there is pretty much any combination of Amp/cab you could want in the line. The DB line have quite a bit more Mid Push which is where the DB750 is a little shy IMO. I am using an Accugroove El Whappo with mine (Nathan East used or uses the same rig, I haven't seen him in a while so I do not know if he still does) but I am trying very hard to get a DB412 to pair with it. The DB412 is unbelievable with it IME/IMO. MASSIVE sounding but it still cuts through a big mix on a big stage or can really push the bass out front if you have no PA support. I initially was going to get 2 of them for my next tour until I heard 1 of them...Trust me if you need more than a DB750/DB412 rig you are probably going to hurt yourself or someone else sooner or later. I nearly had a heart attack when the guy cranked it to noon on the DB750 output. It was so loud I could not hear myself thinking about how loud it was!!!

Kinda' funny because I just had this discussion with a fellow TB'er. Great information in this thread... When I was last in the market I very seriously considered the Aguilar. I'd heard others play through it, with a variety of basses and cabs, and it always sounded amazing. Me? Didn't matter what bass or what cab...I couldn't find "my" sound.
So, a little experimentation took it out of the equation for me. I hope you get the same opportunity - an investment like this definitely takes research and courage.
Excellent advice on the 902/502 as well. When I bought the 902 there was dangerously little information available about it...to include the question of bridging. So, following Ken's lead on this. If you'll be using two 4-ohm cabs, I think it's a great option to consider. Otherwise...single cab or two 8-ohm units, I'd look more closely at the 502. Good luck!
