Aguilar equiptment

Hello

I now own Mark Bass equiptment, that I know has been made in Italy. I recently purchased some Aguilar equiptment on line, and was surprised that the boxes that arrived, said made in China?

I thought Aguilar gear was made in New York?

Aguilar was bought by Korg 4 years ago, and at the time an Aguilar co-founder stated: “We will continue to produce our products in New York City…”

Apparently that’s since changed.

Interesting, but perhaps the Korg moved Aguilar production to China. That happens. :(

BTW, Dgmtexas, you don't need that first t in equipment.

Hope this helps.

The new 58R Series Combo's, Heads and Cabs are Italy;

They still sell as current a few prior Models[to 58R] I believe still made in Indonesia
Correct.

Older stuff is a mix of Italy/Indonesia

New stuff is Italy only (M58R stuff for example).

Aggies got bought by Korg. I guess they will make more money by outsourcing some labor to China.

I bet the prices will stay the same for us mortals, mere dirt consumers...

All of my Aguilar amps, pedals and cabs are pre-Korg… so all US. I would guess once they sold out to Korg, that it all got offshored.

When I owned Markbass heads and cabs they were all made in Italy. I still have a 210 that’s Italian made and it’s a fantastic cab… but since then the cabs are all offshore.

I ALWAYS look on the equipment itself to see where it’s made or "assembled" now.
Many manufacturers have plants locally AND overseas nowadays and you just never know until it’s in your hands.
And this can change rather quickly so what is true today might be different in 6 months.
Competitive economy dictates that I guess………….

Just looking on the Aguilar site, I can't find any head that says " Made In China " on the back. In fact, that info is not on any head, as far as where its " made ". Oops, Thumpin6 string beat me to it.

The Aggie heads listed on Sweetwater don’t have an origin specifically printed on the back. This thread is the first I’ve heard about off shore production. Pics or it didn’t happen!
Exactly.

Neither did older, pre Korg Aggies state where they were made. Unless someone digs out more info somewhere, I would assume they are still US made.

They could be assembled in China, but who knows. I'm purely speculating.
