OK, so I got my Aguilar GS112 about a week ago and I feel comfortable with it now so I thought I'd share some observations here on the TB.
Specs: 1x12, 300w, 42lbs, $419 shipped.
I tested it with my Zon Souns and my Fender P-Bass through my redfaced SWR Bass 350 (240 watts into 8 ohms).
Overall: I like it quite a bit, especially for the price. I need to admit a bias to really big rigs, I usually play at Hartke 4x10 and an SWR Big Ben 18 both full range. I love that sound, huge low end AND wicked punchy, but that is way too much beef for small bars and restaurants, lol. I needed to be reasonable / practically in my new band situation, so a 1x12 seemed the way to go.

Good physical design, I like the size and shape of the box, easy enough to move, sturdy handle in a smart spot, small transit footprint. Nice weight, there are some 1x12s out there that weigh less, but 42 lbs is more than managable for me.
Seemingly very good build quality, feels sturdy, looks sharp. Looks more expensive than other 1x12s costing $100s more. Kudos to their visual designer.
Decent bass response. It's no 15 or 18, lol, but it's not bad, especially considering the size of the speaker and, likely more importantly, the size of the box.
Good low mids / Good high mids, as expected. I figured this is where the cab would shine and it does. Good job cutting through my band in rehearsal, which, if anything, is louder than many gigs we play.
Good highs, the tweeter is a bit harsh sounding, but it's controllable via an adjustable crossover. I dialed mine in at about 1/4 up and am happy with the mix. If the tweeter didn't have the crossover adjustment it might be rough.
The volume overall is pretty good. It's nothing like running my big rig, but I do believe that it'll do the trick for small venues, and that is what I am doing.
Final notes: I am relatively pleased with it, and I am keeping her for sure. I knew going into it that it would be a comprimise of size and weight for sound, but I don't feel cheated by the cab, and least not much
. And with the price being so reasonable I have to call it a winner. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 4.5 / 5.0 overall.
I'll post a follow up after I gig it several times in different venues and report back any new observations!
