Today is a great day
I haven't seen anything on the A's web pages...
I found it on the internet so it must be true
Aguilar testing the market perhaps?
If this is true, wonder if it's going to be 2 ohm capable.
It should go to 2.67-same as AG700
My TH500 is plenty of power for what I do, but the 2.67 ohm capability is really good to have!
I am more than happily satisfied and impressed by my TH 500. not upgrading.
A TH350 and two 1 - 12" Aguilar cabs is my dream rig. I've found two used cabs. I wonder if this would make the 350 go down in price at all?
Neat. From looking at the front of it, doesn't look like they've added any extra features over the TH500. Probably no reason for me to upgrade.
I couldn't really see too much of the front panel because they spent pretty much the entire time on the video showing the guy playing bass!
Anyway, I think you're right. Looks to be the same layout.
Don't know if the price will go down on the 350 but I would bet there would be some TH500s up for sale on the used market.
That's wat I expect...
LET'S GO PENS!!!
Here is the product page at Sweetwater. The amp doesn’t come up in the Sweetwater search and the video was posted today, so I’m assuming their getting all of their assets ready to announce in the next few days.
Aguilar Tone Hammer 700 - 700-watt Super Light Head
The page panel does look like it says 2.67 ohms, by the way.
Man I love my TH500 but think how silly I'm gonna look next to a dude with a TH700. Who's gonna pick me when they could pick that guy. Guess I'll have to upgrade at significant expense.
If the dimensions and controls for the 700 are the same as the 500, I wonder if Aguilar would offer the option of upgrading the power section in the 500 to what's in the 700 - kind of like what Eden used to offer on some of their WT line of amps.
I don't know the technical ins-and-outs of that but maybe would save some money over buying a 700?
You'd have to use a sharpie to change the 5 to a 7 though.
It’s slightly bigger than the TH500. And almost 1 pound heavier.
And there it is:
