Aguilar Tone Hammer 350

I've pretty much settled on the Aguilar TH 350 or 500. Not sure which though. I'll be playing with 2 guitarists and a fairly loud drummer in a straight ahead rock and roll gig, mostly playing in small to medium clubs. I haven't decided on cabs yet but I'm thinking I could go with the 350 and a Berg NV610 and be able to cover everything. But what about a couple 12's or a 2X12?

I have a Tone Hammer 500 going into a LDS 212 cabinet that kills at moderate level setting on the amp.

Yes, 4Ω, with plenty of power and great tone from this easy to haul rig.

I'm waiting on a TH350 to be delivered along with a used Raezer's Edge Bass 12 (8ohm rated 400 watts) which I'll pair it with. I'm going to double Upright and Electric but I primarily got it to play electric bass on. I'm so excited! May pair the Raezers edge with an acme B1 or something later, I don't play huge rooms but I'm looking forward to thumping happy...

That would be my custom built, Swedish UNICORNbass. 32" scale with a massive low B!

Well the sound already had plenty of low end, so I added some mids and some treble to make up a bit for the old strings. Also, the mid control sounds so good even when fully boosted.

Now a counter question; why wouldn't it be usable?

Because I've often heard "cut frequencies, don't boost them".

My point was this. If the sound hadn't been usable - would the controls be set like they were?
