i thought he sucked, than i herd alex was playing with jarzombek on blotted science and i defecated. that music is THE MOST insane thing i have ever herd.

Thanks very much for putting me onto this project. Awesome stuff. I really like the combo of musicians, and I love the fact that it's instrumental. I've gotta get the album for sure.

What I expected, was to be able to state an opinion as everyone else is stating theirs...The singer sucks...thats my opinion...Alex Webster is a great Bassist...That's my opinion also...
This is a Bass Player forum...I'm not being inflammatory to the Bassist this thread was opened for...quite the contrary...I think he's a great player...and the rest of the musicians in the band are good players as well...but that so-called singer is horrible...in my opinion...
I also disagree with the guy that was all over me about posting here, when he said that adding melody to the vocals would not fit with the music...but I'm not going to argue with him, or you about it...we have differing points of view...thats all...
You do know what a 'discussion forum' is, right? It's not a whole lot of people just posting 'this sucks', or 'this rules' and that's that. If you post an inflammatory comment in a thread about someone or someone's band, people are most likely going to call you out for it, or get angry about it, or want to talk about it. If you expect to come into a thread about Alex Webster and blurt out 'that singing is horrible' and for no-one to say anything, then you're deluded. Of course you can state your opinion, but if you aren't prepared to back it up with some substance, then you're just being a passive-aggressive troll, starting arguments for the sake of it.

With the case of death metal, it's because the vocals are growly/screamy and devoid of melody for the most part. So if you don't like death metal vocals, then you most probably won't/don't like the genre.
Alex is my bass hero and I'd kill to meet him. I bought the exact same Spector bass as him, just in black stain. He is my main bass playing influence and .. damn he's so awesome!

Such an intense song, I love that the live version is so much better than the studio version. It's rare that bands are like that for me.
I don't like death metal in general or Cannibal Corpse in particular (oh what am I doing in this thread?
