That's all well and good if it works out to where the active and passive you're using are the same volume when you use that +10db switch. It's not always that easy. I would just turn down the active bass on the bass itself, since the volume on active basses doesn't change the sound.

This is a huge feature for me. Now I leave the amps and cabinets at our rehearsal space. I do have a small practice amp at home if I do need to play out loud, but now I prefer to only use my pedal board with aux in and my 1964 Quads (IEMs). Huge sound.

Read through the entire thread, thanks for all the detailed information. Have a few questions: is it possible to use all the outputs at the same time? If so, this would be an amazing monitor tool. Also, how does the OD plmeh with other ODs? Do they stack/synergize well?

Yes, all outs can be used at the same time, and I think the Scrambler stacks well with other Ods.

I also read the entire thread myself, and thanks to all those that contributed to it. I picked one up a few weeks ago to put in front of my PF-20 (run the EQ at noon on the amp, and do most everything else on the SCR-DI). I like it. I really like that I can pop headphones on and doodle out ideas quickly whenever the ideas present themselves, without a ton of effort. The scrambler is really fun, as I had in the past played around with dirt, but nothing ever really caught my ear enough to stick with it. At the very least, the scrambler got me interested in it enough to throw down for a Darkglass B3K as well! The SCR-DI and the B3K seem to play really well together, and keep it simple enough for me to maybe figure out. The SCR and the B3K seem to be REALLY hard to get bad sounds out of. Perfect for me.

I hooked up my SCR-DI with an MXR Bass Distortion, just for options.

SO....... A Traveler Pbass, an SCR-DI, a cable or 2(for plugging into an amp), a Sanyo Pedal Juice battery, and headphones.....and it all fits in the Traveler Gig bag!

Finally got one. Birthday present for myself

And wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.

It's amazing. Instantly one of my favourite pedals. Classic Ampeg tone. It keeps the natural sound of the bass like nothing else I've tried. I'm looking forward to trying it with more basses. I even like the Scrambler overdrive.

I especially like the headphone out and aux input. No need for an amp anymore!

I have a Fractal audio Fx8 (effect unit).
I should put the ampeg SCR after my wireless and before the fx8? Or after the fx8? In the chain..
