Alternative uses for a bass cab.

I once used a 1x15 cab to mount a drill press on top. It was the right working height, footprint and it allowed me to easily wheel the tool around the shop.

I think good 12 cab design is displacing both 15 and 10 cab usage. A pair of 1x12 cabs or a 2x12 cab can sound fantastic and loud in nearly any situation.

I have a Subway 12 in my office that's a coffee table. Sometime after the pandemic I hope to use it as a bass cabinet again!

I have a Seismic Audio 15 that doesn't sound very good, so I use it as a side table in the studio to put drinks on. It also holds the kick drum mic in place sometimes. I've actually gotten a new kick drum sound by placing the mic just outside the kick drum, pointing into the hole, and the bass cab just a few inches in front of that, with the base of the kick mic stand wedged under the cab, with the speaker pointing toward the drum.
Seems there is some sort of light thud that comes out of the speaker when the kick is hitting kinda hard, and it gives it a little something. Of course, not really discernible to the listener, but noticeable to me.

The Peavey combo is holding up my TV. 2xSWR 15s are holding up the (loaner) cat. I will get rid of them eventually. Someday.

Had it in the back yard and was going to bust it up but, a ferril cat took up residence in it.
We maintain it for him now

Another thing could be to contact the local High School band director. They may have a kid in need of a cab. (I know I could have used some instrument help back then)

Not to be negative. But the recent pandemic has shut down most churches and schools. Of course depends on region. The only way to be " safe" is to pay money for private school. Public school is " dangerous" paying money is " safe"

And yes it's a good suggestion though.

I once had a very old and very wretched Sunn 215 from 1968. Before I gave it away to a friend in need, I was going to lay it on its back and top it with a 3/8" slab of glass as a coffee table.

If you got room to store it, You can use it to test and compare new lightweight efficient cabs against. If the new cab compares, then maybe keep and use the new, then give the Mesa to to someone or a charity.

Get some nice fabric, place that over it, then place the cab next to your chair or couch. You now have a side table for your coffee, beer or anything else you want to put down next to you while seated.

I did this with my old SWR Goliath III 4x10. It looked pretty good, and when my kids were little, they and their friends used it as a TV watching platform.

Donate it to a school and take advantage of the tax deduction.

I haven't done this with bass gear, but have donated a keyboard, my mom's old glockenspiel, a 26" TV, and other stuff to local public schools. In Philly, the schools need all the help they can get. I'm considering this for my remaining keyboard, because it's clear my daughters have no interest in it.

More recently, I gave a battered old G-K 400RB 1x15" combo to a friend who sometimes uses his basement for jam sessions. I had gotten it for free (here on TB), so when I couldn't use/store it, I passed it on. I acquired it to leave at the rehearsal studio for a project trying to become a Stones cover band, but I loved the tone so much that I probably would have used it for gigs if that project had survived.

True, but we all took instruments (and cabs) home to practice.

Those cabs cost a small fortune here in OZ.
I'd be getting it recovered and use it as intended.

I have replaced my other Mesa Boogie powerhouse cabs with Barefaced cabs now and they give me what i want so this one seems harder to shift.
