You mention the one cab you have and can’t sell, and two you sold fast.I have a Mesa boogie Powerhouse 1x15 that I bought new in about 2005. I haven't gigged much with it as I also had a 2x10 and 4x10 that I preferred to use. So whilst this one has probably had at most 10 gigs in that time unfortunately the tolex got torn so it does not look in as good a nick as it sounds.
Anyway over the past 4 or 5 years I have put it up for sale in various places numerous times on, ebay, facebook market, local rehearsal studios and just got a few enquiries but no bids or offers so it is still in the house unsold it although the other two went really easily.
I have now given up trying to sell it now, so in the interest of recycling I wonder what other non musical purposes I could use it for with or without the speaker.
Sensible suggestions only.
Cheers
My PH610 trad is also a night stand![]()
Wifey has my old Peavey 215 in her movie room face down in front of the couch. We didn’t have to buy a coffee table so i’m good with it.Get some nice fabric, place that over it, then place the cab next to your chair or couch. You now have a side table for your coffee, beer or anything else you want to put down next to you while seated.
This, except Canada. If I could , I would.Ach! I would take it off your hands, but I surely can’t afford shipping from the UKif you really can’t get anybody to buy it, I third or fourth the idea of finding a school that will take it. My kid’s school has two Mesa Expresses for guitars, and I don’t think the Seismic cab they have for bass quite measures up.
A fridge would require compressors and coils and stuff, but I dig the idea. I'd personally go the cooler route., just pull the speaker, install a couple shelves and a boatload of insulation, store ice in bags at the top, probably, and figure out a way to open or close it. It's times like these that you wonder why every cab isn't a fliptop cab.Convert to a secret fridge... for you know... when you need a cold one. Only us will know. Promise.

It's not that people don't want it.
Have to sell it dirt cheap.
Then again, I have priced items very cheap for a quick sale. Then people question the quality or condition.
Can't win.
Not to be a smarty pants. It works great for a Bass Cab. Just a convenient cab to leave somewhere. Like a studio or rehearsal place. Or it's half a PA or half a keyboard amp. Or a cab for someone to borrow. Like another band member who needs a monitor. Etc etc. Just a 15 in a box. Or another box if you played around with vintage drivers or quick test box.
I always liked having cabs I didn't care about and treat them rough or not worry about being careful at load out. Or camping/ outdoor adventures. Sand , mud water. Don't care or worry. Trash it, thrash it. Blow the speaker. Something. Play through it on fire and go viral on YouTube
