Alternative uses for a bass cab.

Slap some Kustom Roll-n-Tuck on it and take it to your next gig.

I have a Mesa boogie Powerhouse 1x15 that I bought new in about 2005. I haven't gigged much with it as I also had a 2x10 and 4x10 that I preferred to use. So whilst this one has probably had at most 10 gigs in that time unfortunately the tolex got torn so it does not look in as good a nick as it sounds.

Anyway over the past 4 or 5 years I have put it up for sale in various places numerous times on, ebay, facebook market, local rehearsal studios and just got a few enquiries but no bids or offers so it is still in the house unsold it although the other two went really easily.

I have now given up trying to sell it now, so in the interest of recycling I wonder what other non musical purposes I could use it for with or without the speaker.

Sensible suggestions only.
Cheers
Use it as an end table, with a GK MB200 as a coaster for your brewski.

I had a whole list of ideas ready for you, then I read your last line. Apparently I don't have a sensible idea in my brain.

It's not that people don't want it.
Have to sell it dirt cheap.
Then again, I have priced items very cheap for a quick sale. Then people question the quality or condition.
Can't win.

Not to be a smarty pants. It works great for a Bass Cab. Just a convenient cab to leave somewhere. Like a studio or rehearsal place. Or it's half a PA or half a keyboard amp. Or a cab for someone to borrow. Like another band member who needs a monitor. Etc etc. Just a 15 in a box. Or another box if you played around with vintage drivers or quick test box.
I always liked having cabs I didn't care about and treat them rough or not worry about being careful at load out. Or camping/ outdoor adventures. Sand , mud water. Don't care or worry. Trash it, thrash it. Blow the speaker. Something. Play through it on fire and go viral on YouTube

I don’t know your situation as far as if you play in a band or not but for me I like to leave my bigger gigging cabs at the rehearsal spot and only move them for gigs. If the cab works fine but looks messed up I’d probably stick it under my computer desk or in a corner or something where it’s more out of sight and use it as a practice cab. Maybe touch it up a little for example if it’s the normal black tolex id take some black spray paint hit any exposed wood to hidE the damage some.

When my Behringer combo predictably blew its transformer I used the 15" aluminium speaker in its sawn off cab to replace the 4" 'bass' speaker in an old Dell PC speaker system with pcb crossover. Swapped out the old muddy-sounding stereo pair for two of those little 'x-mini' chargable speakers, and it is now a surprisingly decent home stereo with decent eq-able bottom end and separation. Cheap, but punches above it's weight sound-wise.
