I have kept up with the case fairly well. I believe Amanda Knox is innocent and the prosecutors and judges so gung-ho to condemn her without any evidence missed their calling as fiction writers.
I've got all of you beat. I didn't know who she was until I googled her, and now that I know that much, I not only know I don't know, but what I really know is that I don't care.
I totally forgot about this case until reading this thread. From the cursory exposure to the evidence, I recall the prosecution's case being pretty flimsy. But as far as if I would? I'm more of a Jodi Arias kinda guy.

I'm interviewing her skinny cousin "Belle" for a personal assistant position on Monday.

Grade A stupidity on the part of the judicial system and the scientists.
They weren't tossed in jail for failing to predict an earthquake - they were thrown in jail for telling the public that small earthquakes that were happening in the area were not precursors to a larger quake. They made a definite claim (these small shocks definitely aren't precursors to a bigger quake) not one that had some wiggle room.
Well I care.

The first trial was b*******t Italian-style.
The new evidence they have now is mostly conjecture.
If there was a jury and I was on that jury---she's walking....as far as I'm concerned.
hmmmm...Jody Arias.....the problem with us trying to understand psychopaths is that we can't.....because we project our "consciences" on to them...and they don't have one.
Problem is it works in reverse too...when a psychopath tries to hustle people according to the way they think, they can't......because they don't have a conscience and we do.

Innocent or guilty!? I dont know - personally on what I've managed to take in on the case, I feel she is innocent.
Whether she is actually guilty or not, the utter prejudice, incompetence and apparent lack of objectivity with which the Italian legal system have prosecuted the case, that for me should result in an acquittal and an investigation into the people who have held the Italian legal system up to international scorn and in doing so have effectively made it impossible for the victim, the accused and their families to receive fairness and justice.

And 'so' should NEVER precede words like 'not' as in, "That is so not fair". Effing 'Friends' show. Screwed up the English language for the rest of us.

Agreed. It would be harder to get her to leave than it was to get her there in the first place, which reminds me of an old joke....

well to be fair,more than a few honest, capable,incorruptible functionaries in italian justice have spent a lot of time guarded by armed men to avoid being murdered,like so many of their not so fortunate colleagues......i doubt working as a prosecutor there is a career path most would undertake ......
I think this is largely because people are not inclined to wait for proof. People want to form damaging conclusions NOW. Just read forum posts on a place like HLN! Many people are black & white: if you're accused? You're guilty; if exonerated? You weren't guilty! But it really isn't so clear cut.
