Amazon Deals WITH Discussion Thread

That looks like a nice deal, BUT have you ever played with a strap that wide? I have a very nice 4" wide strap that I bought but it's unusable for me. The wide width irritates my neck. Just something to consider.

That being said, if a 4.5" strap is for you, that looks sweet!

I've found that to be true for me too on most 4" or larger straps, although I've got one that doesn't do that.

That's the only strap I use. It's the best.

The Perri's padded leather straps I use are 3.5" wide, made in Canada, and are 56" long for around $40:

Also, customer service is off the charts...I somehow received one with a shorter tail piece--I contacted Perri's and asked them to send me just the tail piece so I could thread it into the wider portion and they sent me a whole new strap and let keep the shorter one, which I could still use on a different bass. Two straps for a single bargain price is a win in my book.

I think I have that strap, I'll have to measure width. It works for me

I recently got one of these in the Chestnut color, thinking it might look okay on my Honeyburst Amer. Special P. I like it a lot. Very soft, comfortable leather and plenty long enough for me.

I don’t know if this is the right place to post, because it isn’t a “deal” but it is Amazon related….

I just saw this today, a Fender Store at Amazon.
I was looking for a Fender FB620 gig bag last week and in my Amazon search, the Fender Store wasn’t in the 3 pages of hits. But it was 2nd on the list in today’s search.

I also don’t know if this is Old News, but it’s News to me…

Ordered 2 sets. Never used them before. Worth a try
I find the Pro Steels to be a very bright, balanced, long lasting string. Some have described the tone as sterile but I disagree. They can clank but I don't find that they snarl in the mids like my favorite Rotosounds 66s do. They also feel rougher on the fingers than Rotosounds for the first few days. At less to my fingers.
Hope you enjoy them!
Brent
