Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

27493363, member: 37282"]I’ll have to look. The neck IS really solid.
Friendly advice, be careful with that truss rod nut, its welded to the rod not just “screwed” on like “usual”
So if it strips/cracks or whatever you have to put in some major coin to get it fixed.
I forget what year this happened…..I think aound 2006/2008.

You can always use a trial of Reaper and buy it if you end up having use for it. It's very reasonably priced but you can use in trial mode as long as you like to decide. I think it even has a ProTools skin. Most of my friends have switched over to it.

Thanks for that! I'll look into it.

A couple shots from tonight’s 2-set gig with the dad band. The new board is much smaller and simpler with the h90 which sounds great. And that’s a good thing because the stage was tiny for a 6 personal band. Just to the right of the photo was a whole keyboard rig and another pedalboard and mic. It’s also my first multi-set performance where it was all pick playing. I wouldn’t have been able to pull that off in December.

So great to see live shots!

oh, it’s definitely got the newer nut where it’s inside the neck rather than sticking out.

Ambient noodling about with the new F Bass. I thought I was just running it into the Night Owl Parabellum for some grit, but looking at my board as I type this, I believe I had the Hilbish Sol Invictus on as well, which explains why there was more hiss/noise than I thought there should be (it really only reveals it self in a few places). Since I hadn't posted anything in a bit, I'm gonna let 'er rip.

1000$ for a battery?
What the fuzz????
Did Teenage Engineering make it?

Are you not accounting for the internal processing and memory? It’s a bit more than just a battery. Still. Lots of people are unhappy about the price.

I’m not a fan of my Push II controller. It mostly collects dust.

27516415, member: 190717"]Recently discovered this guy's videos. If you're into noise type stuff you might enjoy it. Similar to the no-input pedal looping stuff I've been doing on and off for years.

Tishimaru Nakamura uses this particular aspect of an EQ in his set up.
Tishimaru is known for his no input mixer work.
Definitely an artist worth looking up and reading about. Very interesting and passionate person.
Definitely NOT a japanoise proponent.
He creates sounds but with silence and nuances as a “philosophy”.
I may be mistaken in this last statement, the last I read about him was a few years ago…..and my brain is mush these last few years

Thx for the share btw
