Finally got some time with the array. I fixed a problem I was having on the Super 6 and went back to their tamer waveforms, which I find distort in more interesting ways.

Also posted a couple experiments I've been doing with the fugue form.

This is with the Perfourmer, pretty straightforward. Really like the bits of filter FM though. That could be useful.



This one was done in July with ID700 and apart from going a little too hard on the distorted reverb, I think this might be the way for the next thing. This involves crossfading between two instances.

I really liked the first one! From today, huh? The modulated bit at the end of the first phrase threw me a little, but I relaxed into the piece and was reading and thinking and your piece really drew me along. Was it performed in one take?

Thanks! Yes, one take but I spent time setting it up and running through. (In other words, one tale but not from scratch).

The model D Moog app on iPad is the one I use most.

I also often sample synths I like on records and use those in Live, Koala or SP

I don’t even own a hardware anymore.
Unless the Lyra counts, I keep it for it’s uniqueness and personality. It’s still really cool to play and practice.

But only true masters like Hainbach can play that synth and make it sound so magical and get praise from the interwebs.

More playing around with the Arturia V Collection synths. Couldn’t resist trying the Acid synth, but the Synclavier is quite nice. Drums from the Emulator and a few MS 20 instances. Sequenced on the M8

I also wanted to say that I was wrong about the Neunaber pedal that you suggested...they did make it 100% wet on the top of the blend. I had to do some digging to find that answer. I may give it a go next. Thanks!

That sucks. Been lucky so far...A few weeks ago after being stuffed in a basement with someone for a two hour rehearsal, he calls that night and said he tested positive. Was on pins and needles for the next week but magically dodged that bullet.

When I got home from the long tour, I was jonesing for a new synth…Pro3? Iridium? Now I’m torn because I don’t want the learning curve, but I’m seriously considering Bitwig. Such a busy looking interface though

I was looking at upgrading to Guitar Rig 6 (from 5) and then NI drops 7. Might be worth it for me. $99 upgrade gets me two new bass amp heads, plus all the new effects goodies which they are marketing as "not just for guitar" including a new looper that looks fairly sophisticated.

I've had a Mother 32 for about 8 years now and I'm only just realizing its FM capabilities, and having fun with using the random features to make generative music.

This is why I don't have as much GAS these days. Stuff I've had for years I'm still learning new things about.

ETA: "stuff I've had for years" also includes my Westone bass guitar, which I've had since 1985 or so. Never stop learning.
