I downloaded the demo but also got the Pigments demo the same day and have gravitated to that. Any thoughts on using one vs the other?

I downloaded the demo but also got the Pigments demo the same day and have gravitated to that. Any thoughts on using one vs the other?
Managed to get things figured out and wired up and recorded and manipulated. Not worrying about video helped!
The Sirin seemed in tune, then tuned the Stylophone DS-2 to that. My Gibson Les Paul Triumph (almost as old as I am?!) through Z Vex Mastotron (couldn't find the Woolly Mammoth, that would have been very different with the pinch) & Big Briar MF-103 Moogerfooger phaser. Everything recorded on its own track to be manipulated afterwards in Reaper. Got the Moogerfooger package at some point, find it pretty useful, especially basics like the MF-101 (filter) and MF-104 (delay), plus I've been using the plugin-only MF-109 saturator in other stuff. And of course messing around with compressors and Valhalla delay...

Another internet thing which I'm probably going to blow off again out of frustration and laziness.
I got into the original Serum way back near its release. I felt like it was the best wavetable synth of its time, When I got into Eurorack I more or less stopped using it, then started again because its tools could be used to create banks for the SynthTech E352/E370.
I tried Pigments and thought "this is pretty good but I don't really need it." I know it's been updated since then but I never went back to look at it.
Serum 2 added an extra oscillator, audio rate modulation of almost everything, more detuning options, some really interesting filter models, and more oscillator types besides wavetables (though a couple of them are CPU killers). I couldn't stop playing with the demo so I decided I better grab it.
My synth purchases are pretty boring for a holiday weekend. Mostly doing some utility with cables to clean up my desk. I will say it was worth running a breakout that allows me to parallel process reverb and delay instead of doing them in series. The sound/effect quality so so much better.
I sent my mackie mixer to get cleaned up.
Power supply noise and headphone out was scratchy.
Brain of mad scientist lab is gone for a while.
Regular bass time just doubled
So I did what I said I was going to do: I deleted the looper pedal and used the Superego with phaser in the effects loop for the drone. Worked well enough, no annoying transient like the looper gave me. I used the Boss SY-1 and Digitech Bass Synth Wah to add ornamental stuff over the drone, with delay and reverb.
So after some practice runs I recorded about 15 minutes of improvised bass droning, and still didn't like what I wound up with. So much for stupid drone day.
More practice.
In hindsight, what I put out turned out to be a demo - I did have some ideas, and going through the process of turning things back on after a long break (at least half a year) was good. Had all the cables and power supplies I needed, and the electronic stuff worked! But my mix was far from ideal - I was only monitoring input level (on Zoom H6) and didn't figure out the bass sound - I plan to be less conservative there, or maybe even RTF and figure out how to adjust monitoring volume separate from input? I realized that I like Drone Day because it gives me a timeframe to shoot for and an idea to think about.
Yeah, that's another one of my problems. I haven't quite figured out how to record plain old bass guitar with overdrive and get the sound I want yet. Guitar and synth is easy, but bass is weird.

"Hi! I just discovered your music and I’m really impressed! Your talent is incredible! I can’t stop moving to the beat. You’re definitely destined for stardom!" The thing that I don't get - where did the AI hotties go? This is just some guy in the Netherlands (allegedly) and some other anonymous bot - when did the perfect AI babes go?!! Is it time to throw in the towel?!!
Time for a new drone piece with said title. Perhaps a massive TB Ambient/Post-Rock/etc. collab?

I spoke too soon! I got followed and reposted by an AI hottie! The weird thing is, the account reposted a lot of what looks like drone stuff, though "electronic" might fit more generally.
