OVox by Waves. It’s a vocal synth and formant filter. I also have a Roland E4 hardware vocoder/formant/harmonizer. I’ve been working on getting some new robotic vocals down. The OVox plugin allows for full on synth sounds or vocal enhancement, including a de-easer.
I’ve had OVox for years but been mildly overwhelmed by the controls and their interaction. Evidently my years of modular synth work has helped me figure out what all the various controls do, but I had to RTFM to understand some of the labels on the controls.
If I can get some satisfactory vocal lines down then I might try to cut a few tracks with the bass vi and my new boss pitch shifter. I’m currently running FM synth faux guitar parts and I like them, but I think I can approximate the sound on my bass vi based on a test loop I recorded. I’m getting close to the end of my patience for working on this song so I might just sideline that plan for another day.

Do you happen to have their Matryoshka?
If so, how's it working out for you on bass?
I've got one, but it seems like the Sensetivity is kinda whack, trying to figure out if mine is a lemon or if they're all like that.

Yes, I got one when they were first released. I currently use it mainly for the sample and hold feature.
Do you find that yours generates sound/noise from just the slightest input, even with the sensitivity fully counterclockwise?
Just lightly touching the strings or running my hands along the strings will cause my Matryoshka to output squealing, glitchy noises.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
Well, except yes, there *is* something wrong with that. Too much uncontrollable noise when trying to just use it for synthesizing the notes I play on the instrument.
I'll have to check, but IIRC it is a pretty sensitive pedal. I've also used it for pedal-looping generative noise experiments and the like, but for that any weird pedals can be used.
Okay, now match this up with the new Bananana Quimera pedal and you may have a 2-pedal ambient board. And probably a depleted bank account lol.
They were showing earlier iterations of this at Superbooth for 2-3 years. Korg Berlin started out as a sort of experimental lab where they were working on this concept and didn't know if they'd end up turning it into any products. What they started with seemed like it had a lot of potential, but to me the final product is kind of a neat instrument but doesn't quite live up to "synthesizer" posibilities. Like the difference between an electric piano and a polysynth.
