Now if someone could just invent a drum machine for people who suck at drum programming, I'd be all set.

I think, honestly, the problem is my brain, not the hardware. I just seem utterly incapable of creating beats and thinking like a drummer.Dude. Arturia's Drumbrutes? I don't think it gets any easier than that...

I have a Digitakt (cuz I wasn't so thrilled with the sounds of the Brute), and I certainly understand the workflow. I just can't seem to come up with grooves. I'll listen to a lot of music, and think, oh, yeah, I can come up with something like that. But I never seem to be able to do anything remotely interesting or more than boring 4 on floor stuff.Well I'm no drummer myself, but really, the Brutes sequencer can be just a matter of picking an instrument and smashing buttons until you hear what you like. Half the cool stuff you can come up with just shows up with the random smashing of the buttons...

Try inserting random operations yielding unpredictable outcomes into your compositional process.I have a Digitakt (cuz I wasn't so thrilled with the sounds of the Brute), and I certainly understand the workflow. Article on how Cassette pause tapes changed history. Remember these are way before any samplers where available.

Makes the genius of dudes like Chuck D & the Shocklee Bros , Q tip, Easy Mo bee, De La Soul, Beastie Boys and EPMD even more impressive.
They literally had to pause\rec tiny loops hundreds of times, we got it EASY now!!!!!

I’m on the waiting list for one. Talk about a learning curve, but it sure is interesting!
Nope, never heard of it.
