Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

I'd like keys on the machine so when I decide to make music in a different room I don't have to set up extra stuff. East coast synth.

You have a lot if choices. I have the Moog Grandmother and it is a really nice instrument. I see them used pretty frequently for good prices. It has a really nice sound and is patchable with any eurorack gear you might have. No presets though.

Stay safe and keep it up my friend.
The kids need you.

thanks... my wife works as a midwife at a hospital and university lecturer so she is a touch paranoid with all this stuff about health workers getting covid...

Planning to get kids down to bed early at least one night though to keep myself sane... I think two parents mostly working from home with kids should Be illegal hah

I feel you!!!
24/7 with 3 kids for me over here.
Wife still works part time, but I'm at home all day since they laid off everyone.

Put a movie on and sneak away for a bit.

Oh my freakin' godless, this Wavestate is awesome. It's the first synth I've had where I can actually create the sounds I've been hearing in my head. I wanted something that could rival the complexity of the softsynths I use (mostly things in Kontakt). Now I have it.

So if you don't see me for a while, you know why. I'm filling that creative rut I've been bitchin' about with learning this thing inside and out. It's got quite the curve, but sound design seems to make more sense to me, overall, than plain ol' subtractive synthesis does (at least when it comes to making complex sounds, which I've never been good at). When I get a few more patches done, I'll put up a few sounds.

Sweet. I'm a little bit jealous... Looking forward to hearing more about it!
