I wrote exactly what I hate reading.

At least I admitted I was wrong to do so and tried to make amends.

Wow that thing sounds good. The built in FX are sweet.
Still wonder if the chop and slice of samples flow is cool?
Im guessing it is.....like an MPC on roids.....

It's hard to say how it sounds, since so much of the sound is based on samples you load. It's really about the workflow, which is tricky to demo. You can see how it works, but that doesn't always translate to how a user will use the thing.

Not to mention the sampler ninjas that are going to bend that thing and crack open tricks the devs didn’t even dream of.

By sound I meant more the FX applied to « samples » ......?? Damn I suck,.....

Maybe it will be too expensive. I hope so.

The big question is, does this replace my Virus or sit alongside it?

completely grabbed my interest as i really wanted a quantum, but the $$$ were way more than i could justify and i wanted something smaller.

i'm a fan of rolf, the quantum's designer, so def must check this out.

Hoping the new font end for my bass rig will start shipping soon. It'll be interesting to have a clean/dirty a/b path. I've got the Infinity looper so I could loop each side individually.

If anyone is interested, I did a basic converter test. Two different loops recorded three different ways.

RANDOM PATTERN ON MODEL:CYCLES
Into the Soundcraft 22 MTK- out its USB and into Logic
Into Soundcraft, analog out into Lynx Aurora to Logic
Straight from M:C into Lynx Aurora

RANDOM PATTERN ON OCTATRACK STEREO OUT
Into Soundcraft- out its USB to Logic
Into Soundcraft, analog out to Lynx Aurora
Straight from OT to Lynx Aurora

Did my very best to match levels, but not claiming it to be scientific in any way! Everything recorded 24/48

Yep, that thing sounds really good...the closest I might get to a Quantum

It can do a blended A+B out or A & B split at Inst levels. The Line and Balanced outs are blended. You can toggle A/B or send both at once. 9v 200 ma power. Active boost/cut eq. Box is not small, but neither is the sound.
