I'm workin' on it!
Miraculously, I put on no COVID weight, as my lifestyle really hasn't changed all that much, other than dealing with COVIDiots at the store. But I saw my dentist a few weeks ago, DAMN, musta put on 30 or 40.
Wakeman's got nothing on the way a lot of hair bands look, nowadays.
i haven’t weighed myself for months. i still work out everyday, but it’s modified (no gym). and i’ve made friends with tequila a little too much. my guess is i have a bit less
muscle and a bit more fat.
but i’m also over 60, so that stuff is just gonna happen.
hair metal bands were never as svelte as they looked on mtv. i was on a hollywood lot where quiet riot was doing a video. tight spandex was a very bad choice for a few of these guys. (muffin top in spandex.)
I’ve managed to lose a couple of pounds and put on a little muscle in the last few months. My weight has always been a challenge for me.

I’ll be hiding out and slowing production for a bit. LA weather hit the seasonal heat that makes daily life grind to a halt for me. I’ve got zero creative brain power these days. Of course, I’ll still creep around here for entertainment though.
Should I avoid making fun of LA folks complaining about weather? Probably. Will I? Haven't decided yet...

I know it is worse elsewhere, but those places tend to be better equipped for it. My place is an old building and it lacks the proper insulation and AC to keep it cool. I'd normally run off to the coffee shop or my office for a cooler place on the hotter days, but I'm kinda screwed right now with COVID. I might just need to go full nocturnal, or maybe just crepuscular.
Yeah, being cut off from my usual haunts outside my home has affected me as well. In the DC area it's been weeks of near-constant 90+ F and high humidity days, so sitting outside in a park for more than 10 minutes isn't a pleasant option either. I like to take battery-powered Volca synths with me to various places and do a little recording but it's been tough lately.
Yeah. Firing up the electronic gear in the house is gonna cause a rolling blackout and raise the oven temp a few degrees. I need a waterproof synth I can take in the tub.
