yes. i like them. main selling points are the exp pedal control of blend (the earliest black version is not as good at this) and the good eq.
i have three cause i have extreme lows on the far left, mid/solo in the middle, breaking glass on the far right.
the great thing about having them like this is that you can get the blends going against each other to create interesting overtones and feedback.
they’re probably not great for the crushing metal thing, but i haven’t really tried.
Rawk. That might be just the thing. Always wanted to get one of their pedals anyway.
In opposite news, I just plugged in my Lastgasp Audio Labs Super Oscillo Fuzz. Not a bass pedal but incredible for noise making.

first track (and many others) has a lot of multi-tracked 12-string basses with various elements flavor.
Funny story about the TAFM. I bought one. It was intermittent. Sounded great but what are you going to do? Then it stopped working altogether. I wrote to the Brian and he said “send it in and I’ll fix it” but I spaced it — I was stupid busy at work. I found it in my drawer and wrote to him in January this year...no reply. I’ve tried a couple more times by other means (I am always nice on email), no reply. Not sure what to do. Totally my fault for not sending it in the first time but now I’ve got a paperweight.

the elements does a decent regular od in its low gain setting. i use the high gain almost exclusively. the eq and range/cut switches work pretty well together.

I can immediately see the usefulness for solo work. And distortion. Do you find the overall tension higher under your fingers than a 6-string?

I'm in a "redoing my board" phase. Clearing out all the old stuff I tried and don't use (or in the case of the Infinity, something I used every day but got tired of dealing with).
I'm working up a solo thing at home and the practice space board needed a reverb (hence that thread).... This should be able it for pedals for awhile, though, apart from however many expression pedals I wind up wanting.
Working on a local Canadian one to save the duties but should come in around there.
I played a Hamer 12 (3-course 4 string) on a record in the 90s and found it really physically challenging. I think given my hand condition now I probably won't ever get one of my own but they sure sound great.

Would be curious to hear more about the process behind this. I've been digging stuff like this (@emjazz 's solo record too) and am thinking about doing some of my own as soon as the rig is set up.
It sounds to me like for most parts you have a maximum of two parts going at once. Do you go through one whole take with a setup and then just jam with yourself? Or did you do it some other way?
