Ive done a few gigs with the drummer from Curlew, Pippin Barnett. Anybody know his other bands The Ululating Mummies or The Orthotonics?

I actually removed my distortion pedal in my dual rig. Only pedals in the bass signal now is Tuner — Boss DD7 — VT bass cranked for some old school SVT type dirt.
Way more defined and tighter bottom.

I never go without dirt.

was super fertile.
Ive met Rebby a few times. She used to be in Rattlemouth and still shows up to our gigs occasionally. Never heard of Davey.

Just stopping by to say today I watched the video instruction manual for the Blooper. I had two conflicting feelings: “this is going to be great for sonic mayhem” and “this is the twee-est instruction manual I have ever seen.”
Some caveats about blooper:
You can only record 30 seconds per loop
There is no wet/dry mix just volume
External footswitch only controls record play functions of left footswitch.
The modifier switches sometimes do not click in and hold unless you hold them for a couple of seconds.
Sometimes the behavior of the layer knob can be very mysterious as in there are no way to figure out where the next layer is on the knob.
These are some of the more major issues with device but it is an amazing tool. I highly suggest you watch the chase bliss/knobs videos on YouTube they are very helpful.
One last thing I forgot to mention about the Ottobit is that there is a really noticeable increase in volume when you reduce the bit size and that makes it completely unusable in live situations.

One more thing I forgot is to make sure you have the most current firmware installed as it eliminates a lot of pops and clicks from the stability knob.
Unless you put it in an FX loop with a volume control and/or limiter after it. Not perfect solutions but not impractical.
My solution was to use the filter control on the ottobit to reduce the volume increase but that necessitates changing the tone and sometimes eliminates some of the crunchiness that I want.
That's a ridiculous amount of money for what that thing does. Not understanding the hype on this one.
As to the Ottobit volume spike, the Enzo had the same problem that they fixed in a firmware update. You should get in touch and see if they did that for the Ottobit. The firmware also lets you tweak the secondary features without overwriting the preset.
Yes I did write them as I thought I had a defective unit but they wrote back saying that I have to adjust the filter and the sample rate to find the sweet spot. I will write them again to make sure that there is no firmware update thanks for the tip.
Speaking of loopers, Aeros finally got most of the kinks out of their software, so the seamless looping works good, now. Did this one last night on the six-string as I was checking out the update... 3 loops - two different Enzo sounds, some delays and verbs and the Mel 9 for the creepy mellotron stuff.

I have been using the buffer volume of my ES-8 for the ottobit but yeah the volume thing is a real drag in a live situation.
As for Blooper, I don’t really get why anyone would use it to control w your feet like a stomp box unless you go deep w MIDI. The real power of blooper comes from what you can do to your loop. It is a pretty incredible little box that is limited by your imagination...and I haven’t gotten into the dip switches yet on blooper or mood. It’s a little on the expensive side for what it is but it is pretty awesome and very unique with lots of cool features that let you use it even as a delay for evolving frippertronics like loops.

Most all devices are imperfect. The question is how do you interface with it and does it allow you to express your ideas.
