As that to my list of samples I need to grab.
Anyone remember a band called Sex With Lurch?
We made a new song with a lot of reverby-stuff. I got up this morning and thought "heck, why not bring the SRC6 for this song into rehearsal?".
With all my might I have resisted the urge to use more than one instrument for a set.
But the SRC6 (basically an Ibanezized Bass VI) has some nice, bright tones... at least it's light enough.
When I was fooling around the other day I used an octaver, but played in the octave above the lowest. The overtones were all shifted down, of course. But that gave the whole situation a nice 'boomy' feel to it. Definitly going to try that this evening

Wow. I can't believe they have any tracks online. I saw them years ago at a Halloween club event. They fit the vibe of the night, but they can go back in the crypt. They're no Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13.
I watched the 2:00 "B Hole" edit that got released, but I have no further frame of reference for this movie adaptation of an "iconic" musical production.
I have not & will not watch that piece of garbage...ever.

great. i think it really is an inspired app.
you may went to check out "sector" as well. it's more sort of programmed randomization (haven't used it for a while, so i don't remember how much live manipulation you can do), but it's sample based and i recall there's a couple of different ways to get them in.
I basically ran a synth into a 2 way a/b splitter.
One into the mixer.
One into borderlands, stereo out into mixer.
Pressed record in borderlands to sample live synth parts then added grain particles and automation as I went.
Add to that the "dry" signal into the mixer with a touch of reverb.
Blended the 3 channels on the mixer.
Touch of eq....
Beautiful textured chaos.
Yeah, I mean, how many bands can touch FDQFP13? Not even Zepp or the Beatles.
