Thinking about that Leccy device reminded me that my Empress Echo can function as having an "insert" (FX Loop) for only the wet signal using the stereo jacks. I popped my OBNE ReveR in the insert. Interesting things seem to happen. I'm still tweaking the settings, but I like were this is going.

Oky doky here we go:

Everything goes into my mixer, EQ \ reverb is from the Mixer as well.

1st one:
Analog synth A —— splitter —— Channel A :dry with mixer reverb. EQ to emphasize low Mid and bass
Channel B : WMD Geiger Couter to setting X EQ to emphasize High mid and Treb
Analog Synth B—— Splitter—- Channel A drywith another type of reverb EQ Flat
Channel B : WMD Geiger Counter to setting Y EQ flat

Mixed the two tracks together to hmmm.....maybe 60\40 blend.

2nd one:
Analog synth C ——- Splitter —— Channel A: Dry With EQ setting A with very short reverb.
Channel B: Dry with EQ setting B with longer reverb
Channel C: Geiger Counter EQ setting C
(3 channels at 3 different EQ settings but one with the GC)
Blended all 3 channels and recorded L\R from the mixer.

All recorded with 4 track, only used computer with a Slate pluggin Level Knob to raise the levels. Zero EQ or compressors nothing in the DAW. So I had to plan ahead and check all my levels so they would be « clean » and good to go. No fixing or « cheating » with the computer for clipping and such. I wanted it as « pure » as possible.

Don’t know how interesting this is to you guys but found that behringer just released a copy of the Arturia keystep... kind of interesting choice considering it’s cheap enough anyway!

every once in a while a post on synthtopia will devolve into behringer fan boys (or paid trolls?) getting mad that people say behringer “appropriates” (being nice here) other companies’ designs.

i saw some that got mad that folks didn’t see that the new si prophet 5 reboot was a “ripoff” of the og prophet 5.

Apparently, the higher ups at Arturia are pissed about this. I'd love to see Behringer get sued to death even more than I'd love for them to have an original idea.

i once looked at the behringer wikipedia page for some information about tc electronic (which they now own).

there's a whole section on the companies that have sued behringer as well as the infamous "kirn corksniffer" . . . pretty crazy.
