Haven't listened to much of his orchestra stuff. Any recommendations.....preferably without flute as the main instrument.

That was very cool, ill dig more into his orchestral stuff, nice long textures. ( ambient before it was cool
)As I remember ,wasnt he really recluse and kinda did his own version of the 12 tone approach????( I have no idea what his approach to it is though....)
I do know for sure he didn’t like writing his name thats why the circle with the line under is his « signature »,

I dont hate the flute, but an hour of it is a bit much for me.
damn, I JUST upgraded mine to the latest firmware the other night and haven't played mine yet. I hope it is not a pervasive issue. Fricken love that pedal.

So someone was asking about the FMeron a while back and it prompted me to see what I could do with a bit of spare time. I'm not gonna keep this vid up for too long as I don't consider it a finished product, and who really wants to look at my knees? But I like doing stuff like this just for the heck of it.
The black expression pedal on the far right is controlling the amp of the FMeron. There is also an expression pedal for the Leviathan and a small expression pedal for the Grazer on the main board.
The curse of cool pedals is need for expression pedals.
As a bonus I'm using my new Triode Leviathan filter pedal here too.

Glad I got to hear it, and see your knees, before you take it down. Maybe reconsider, leave it up — put in the description that it's not "finished". Your vid, do what you will, but know that it's already inspired a few of us.

Mayb I'll just leave it as unlisted so only people in this thread can find it.
As for my knees, they are hard enough, and functional enough for me to go running, so I can't complain too much.

Looking at DAW stuff, which I don’t normally do, but the Arturia V Collection 8 looks pretty amazing and it’s $100 until Jan 10. I also stumbled onto HY-Plugins, who do an awesome collection of sequencers
Speaking of DAW stuff. Any of you using Ableton have this issue?
When sequencing midi out of an Ableton track through my interface (Komplete Audio 6 v1) into the Erica, I get an odd audio latency response. The first note is about half the latency length of all subsequent notes. This happens using an external instrument device, or sending midi from a midi-only track. So, as an example let’s say the first audio transient recorded is 5ms off the click grid, but all subsequent notes are 10 ms off. If I adjust the External Instrument latency for the 10 ms then all my notes land on the grid except for the first note which gets chopped short because it triggers earlier.
My work around is to put a dummy note in the midi track leading into the sequence I want to record, then trimming the stub from the audio clip. That works, but seems like a hack way to do this. If you’ve got a fix, let me know.

Ableton latency is quite the wall punching issue. With audio and midi.
Always has, always will.
With the stupid hardware latency adjustment crap tutorial from a while back....I think they did that in live 8....or was it 7?? Sent a sine note and you manually adjusted the note to zero then input the milliseconds in the preferences for "hardware compensation".

I'm inches away from dumping it.
But paradoxically too lazy to learn another daw.
The hardware instrument (midi instruments) is actually pretty good for handling the issue. it's that stupid first note...
I'll try recording in Logic then moving the audio file over.

I'm glad you like it. I have a tough time being satisfied with it. The rhythmic part I looped isn't timed as well I would've liked, and taming the FMeron to make the sound I want is tough. Some of the newer generation of synth pedals like the Boss SY family and the EHX Dash 9 series are polyphonic and track amazingly well, but the FMeron is not like that; it's very, very monophonic and doesn't like to see anything more than one single note coming out of your bass. You need to be precise with your fingers and it helps to turn the tone knob all the way down on the bass to get rid of overtones that confuse the pedal.
My mistake, I think that's the late Bob Casale, who passed away a few years ago, brother of Devo bassist Gerry Casale.
