Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Well this certainly looks interesting.

Please meet a new SOMA project - REFLEX - a unique digital polyphonic synthesizer View attachment 4319224
The project is in development but we want to share the key ideas and the very first sounds of this unique synth!
More info here: https://somasynths.com/reflex/

got around to watching the vid. feels like a cool cross between a synth and circuit bending.

It takes a couple minutes to ease in and build up, but by minute 3-4 things start sounding developed. .

Over in my old "noise" thread there was much discussion about what makes the difference between rubbish and "sound art" or whatever. All subjective of course, but I give this guy props. Maybe I'll post the video over there and revive the thread...

New one drops, New approaches for both tracks. (Even if its noise\sound sculpting etc….and you may not hear it.)
This one had to be made.
I think this will be a series to 2 track mini releases. This is part II.
Keep working hard on your art everyone, dont quit. Fall down, get the eff up and move forward.
I’ve embraced\accepted not being able to do « normal », so if this is my way, so be it.

Stay safe, take care of loved ones. Take care of yourselves.

My thoughts too. I love Soma stuff, but never pulled the trigger on anything. Was on the waiting list for a Soma Pulsar drum synth, but backed out. Just got the feeling that getting anything useful would’ve been more a matter of luck than skill. I dunno...gonna keep watching out for this new synth though

Really liked the ominous feel of that. I’ve been avoiding any sort of fuzzy/fizzy type distortion lately, but love that tearing sound you’re getting a lot!

Dude, very nice. I'm relatively new to this thread but as a "noise guy" of sorts this is right up my alley. I'm assuming this is with synth? I did a tape of decrepit crypt-y drone on bass under the name "blood memory" a year or two back, I'll have to upload the files somewhere so I can post a track.

Thank you for taking the time to listen.
Very much appreciated. If you dig the latest, check out the others.

I use a very wide variety of techniques and workflows to achieve my tracks.

Track 1 sounds like you. I can't do long sessions of that, but it is still something I'd listen to.
Track 2 is a great "single."
Nice work layering and mixing. The finished product sounds finished.
