My GFI Specular Tempus has a spring setting as well, but there ain’t no spring
Technically it's dual-mono ...but if you feed stereo material into the two inputs (left to input #1, right to input #2), the original left/right channel separation & panning is preserved at the unit's two outputs, which fits the strict definition of a "stereo" processor. e.g., there's no summing of the dry program into the reverb circuitry, the left and right channels are entirely discrete.

When a "noise" guy and a classical minimalist make an album together.
Never thought I'd see a Collab between Crowhurst and Gavin Bryar.

What timing - I've just been reading Derek Bailey and the Story of Free Improvisation - I used to be really into Derek Bailey, had bought this ebook but stopped. For some reason picked it up and read the Gavin Bryars section, really wasn't familiar with him, but with the "magic" of Spotify was able to listen to "Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet" for the first time.

The first 8 minutes of this album seems like it belongs in this thread.
Did a random linkin park - hybrid theory listen through… and runaway the start “pad sound” made me start on my sybth journey I’m pretty sure… just wanted to know how he got that “no attack floating underwater sound” on the keyboard parts

I went through a big Linkin Park phase in the early 00's and then got kind of tired of the whole nu metal thing with all the compressed guitars, screamy vocals, and hyper-produced sound so I backed away from the whole genre, but I have to admit I still like LP from time to time, after a long break it holds up pretty well.
Listening to it now on youtube the comments reveal it has a high nostalgia factor for schoolkid of the era, but I was already well into adulthood when LP was big. The synth sounds are cool but didn't really have much influence on me personally.
Yeah I liked the first two and will admit was in high school… even though had heard heavier ( fear factory, Korn, Metallica and pantera were big in my high school friends) some nu metal hasn’t aged well but I did love it back then and so still love some stuff like static x and the first two LP.
I think hybrid theory was a “done well” mix of rap/metal/electronic elements, same as the first slipknot album.
