Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

It's my favorite Boards of Canada record.
I spent the last 2 or 3 months digging that one. Still on my frequent list. Jaquard Causeway is my favorite track on it. Riding my bike around an empty industrial park watching the sun set with that in earbuds is bliss.
Have you tried the mxr bass distortion? Unsure what pricing is over there but I thought would be cheapish, whilst rat based it actually does mild drive (dirty od to distorting) in silicon mode and pretty much all out fuzz if you need in the led mode and the blend is pretty decent if you need it.
I pretty much run cog mini 66 for crunchy mid boost overdrive, Mbd1 for a fat articulate grind and then replaced the mxr bass distortion with the dg duality fuzz for when I need just all out..
I still haven’t sold off my son of pharoah but if you like muffs that’s a good option with various clipping needs too…

Haven't tried the blower box yet though, that one sounds awesome.
Trying to find some info on the Korg Wavestate synth,
tried a forum site search and a few mentions in this topic on the Wavestate,
but couldn't find any reviews or thoughts on it being suitable for a few bass riffs.
Looking for something to add to my setup, currently use a Roland GK-3B hex pickup fitted bass into a Roland GR-55 and SY-1000 modelling/synth.
If the Wavestate works well with midi input, then I could ditch the GR-55, and use the SY-1000 for instrument modelling and bass to midi for textural pads and such.
Also the keys have the added benefit of basically 'playing keys'.

Still got it. The main issue I had with it was fixed in an update, coinciding with me getting the Midibaby. Whatcha wanna know?
I got one. It’s capable of some pretty amazing sounds, but it’s a bit of a pain in the ass to program. I’m really happy with the sounds I made, but they took a long time. The have an editor coming out that will be a game changer. It’s definitely a pad machine. works fine with an external controller, too.
What else ya wanna know?
