Correct me if I'm wrong (yes I'm often wrong)...but from what I've heard the Soma Cosmos does one thing. Everything I've heard is sounds good but all in the same "vein".
Depends on your point of view: Stricly speaking it does four things: twin-delays, quad-delays, early reflections/cavernous reverbs, and granular delays...all four with that idiosyncratic "drifting memory" feature. (Although I guess the new firmware allows some looping modes that don't have the drifting memory enabled?)
Then again, I referred to the Cosmos as a "one trick pony" earlier in this thread, because once that drifting memory thing runs for a few moments the distinction between those four modes becomes somewhat academic, and, as you suggest, it all sounds like it's cut from the same cloth.
