America Unearthed....

I watch this show all the time...

Absolutely incredible all the stuff he uncovers in regard to people being on the American continent....long before Columbus.

I knew there were people before Columbus...........but Egyptians??

(yes ..he has allegorical evidence of Egyptians and all sorts of other people..)

All these carvings in rock and symbols he finds all over the place......symbols that have connections to other countries and races.

Wow.......something was going on allright.......

Now back to Titus and Darth.......

I like all the weird stuff, myself. There are a lot of bizarre archaeological mysteries in the Americas in general. While I'm not so sure about some of the theories, I like to hear about the topics and what people think about them. For example, there was somebody, thousands of years ago, mining and refining copper in northern Wisconsin, and nobody knows who.

I'm surprised you never heard of them, being from the area.

Oh, we have gnomes aplenty, that's for sure. You have to watch out. But I did not know they were mining for copper. I suppose it makes sense. Dwarves mine for jewels, gnomes mine for raw materials and so forth.
Actually, I was considering a +2 charm for my Warwick Streamer. I would imagine I would have to pay in gold pieces.

They have one of those gnomes in captivity........and use it in Travelocity commercials......

Nashville Bill........regardless of the host's mental stability I don't think he faked all the stuff he finds......

The episode with the cave in the Grand Canyon is intriguing.......(this is where years earlier an explorer made the Egyptian artifacts discovery)

The part that it is in, no-one is allowed access to. The government has banned people from going there.

Now whenever the government bans the public from some area.......I can rest assured there is something that the government does not want us to see....for any number of reasons.

The local native-American tribe from that area also has a lot of strange things to tell as well....

This is because the aliens ran a taxi service and dropped people off in North America from other contents all the time. It is good to know your history.

If your Warwick is German, the price for the +2 charm is probably already included!

Egyptians in the Grand Canyon? What kind of stuff are you guys smoking?

The Grand Canyon has several mines that have been closed off to the general public. Not caves, mines, dug by miners in the late 1800's and early 1900's, and very well documented. They are closed off to prevent looting and vandalism, and to keep folks from falling down a mine shaft. You can see the remaining structures at the surface however.

Second, so the Egyptians went thousands of miles across the ocean, then into the Gulf of Mexico, and then up the Rio Grande and then across land a couple more thousand miles, across deserts and mountains, just so they could hide artifacts in the Grand Canyon? Riiiiiight..... just like the Vikings supposedly went thousands of miles into the interior of North America so they could hide runestones in Oklahoma and Minnesota.... Of course, the show's host sees runes everywhere. Look, there's Egyptian hieroglyphs on that tree bark, just gotta squint your eyes just right! Hey there's Viking runes on that rock, can't you see them?

Finally, other than the Vikings, there is absolutely ZERO proof that anybody from Africa or Egypt or anywhere else landed in America in the last couple of thousand years. Lots of conjecture without any verifiable evidence. Pyramids in South America doesn't mean Egyptians built them.

The History channel is not history folks, it's entertainment. Aliens and Bigfoot and Egyptians in Arizona. Sure.

....which is weird because there thousands of abandoned mines all over the place and a lot of them aren't closed off to anybody......

Why the focus on the mines in the Grand Canyon by government air patrols?

I realize that Scott Wolter is a little heavy on the Freemason/Knights Templar side of things at times but...

I'm looking at the same carvings in rock that he is (on the screen) and I don't have to squint my eyes to make it work.....

Many of the languages carved in the rocks are not known to Native Americans.....

The duration of contact is unclear. It may have been around 5 years, or 400 years given Icelandic suggestions. If the latter it's not impossible that longer journeys and something left behind were undertaken but it's not especially likely that they would go that far round the river system.

Mind you ... these heads are dated from at least before 900 B.C. Look, contrary to popular Eurocentric belief partly fostered by the slave trade and the ensuing campaign to erase African contributions from history in order to justify the dehumanization of other human beings, Africans were sea going merchants as well as hunter gatherers.. That was why up until relatively recently in the minds of many, Egypt was considered to be the "Middle East" and not African.. but just look at the Sphinx .. or what is left of it's nose thanks to Napoleon and it is clear that the face pf the Sphinx was an African face. There is also information hinting at Chinese or other Asian landings here as well .. long before Columbus sailed the ocean blue..

Not trying to pick a fight or anything at all like that ... so if you have taken offense at my post and the fact that I quoted you please do not do so that is not my intent at all.. but human beings have been on this planet for quite some time.. and we are a very resourceful lot. I can't wait to see what surprises there are under that ice in Antarctica.

Although Wikipedia is hardly considered the ultimate authority, they sum this topic up very well:

"The flat-faced, thick-lipped heads have caused some debate due to their resemblance to some African facial characteristics. Based on this comparison, some writers have said that the Olmecs were Africans who had emigrated to the New World.[38] But, the vast majority of archeologists and other Mesoamerican scholars reject claims of pre-Columbian contacts with Africa.[39] Explanations for the facial features of the colossal heads include the possibility that the heads were carved in this manner due to the shallow space allowed on the basalt boulders. Others note that in addition to the broad noses and thick lips, the eyes of the heads often show the epicanthic fold, and that all these characteristics can still be found in modern Mesoamerican Indians. For instance, in the 1940s the artist/art historian Miguel Covarrubias published a series of photos of Olmec artworks and of the faces of modern Mexican Indians with very similar facial characteristics.[40] The African origin hypothesis assumes that Olmec carving was intended to be a representation of the inhabitants, an assumption that is hard to justify given the full corpus of representation in Olmec carving.[41] Ivan van Sertima claimed that the seven braids on the Tres Zapotes head was an Ethiopian hair style but he offered no evidence that this was an Ethiopian hair style at the appropriate time. The Egyptologist Frank Yurco has said that the Olmec braids do not resemble contemporary Egyptian or Nubian braids.[42]

Richard Diehl wrote "There can be no doubt that the heads depict the American Indian physical type still seen on the streets of Soteapan, Acayucan, and other towns in the region."[43] "
