I was just browsing around Sweetwater's bass inventory (something I do more often than I'd like to admit
), and when I filtered the results to show the newest items first I noticed listings for American Standard Jag basses (screen shot posted below)...
I searched around on Talkbass for a little bit (used the search terms "Jaguar," "new," and "American,"), but nothing came up...though (full disclosure), I haven't been on TB for awhile, so I'm not entirely familiar with the new forum layout yet
.
I also checked Fender's site, but nothing seemed to be posted there either (the Jaguar subpage on their site doesn't even mention MIA Jags)...
So, has anyone heard about these/have more info? I'm GASing and I haven't even seen one yet...the Jag has always been my favorite Fender design, and having a MIA option is really appealing.
Thanks!
