American Top Gear!

It'll be hard to find someone as annoying as the original host, but the best of luck to them.

I love the original BBC Top Gear. That said, that trailer looks pretty lame. I'll probably still give it a chance and watch it once it comes out, but I don't think they can reproduce the awesomeness of the original.
The main reason Top Gear is so good is because of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The guys in the American series don't hold a candle to these guys. Nevertheless, I'm still going to give it a chance. I really like cars! 
+1 The show isn't really even about cars anymore, it is about the interaction of those three guys, while they hang around cars.

They made an Australian top gear. It was terrible. I only watched it a couple of times and gave up.

It was an alright show if you like cars.. which I can't say I do. That being said, UK Top Gear is probably my favourite show, im watching it right now.
Yep, UK top gear is an entretainment show that happens to have cars on it. Thats something that the clone shows havent been able to replicate, its like the clone producers when shown the original Top Gear only focus on the cars part of the show.
Unless they review "vintage" cars we only have enough cars to fill a couple of episodes. We already have "Motorweek" to feature soccer mom crossovers.
Didn't NBC or CBS try to bring out Top Gear a few years back and gave up? I believe Adam Corolla was supposed to host it...
Where can I watch the BBC top gear? I can never find it on TV, and I can't find it on the internet other than youtube clips. HELP ME!
BBC America airs it.
I think the show has it's own charm that will be difficult to recreate on American TV. British programing should be left alone.

Informative as that show may be, the people on the show have about as much personality as a 2x4. I'd much rather watch Top Gear.
I don't think the American Top Gear will ever be as good, but I'll give it a few seasons first. Hell, the first two or three seasons of Top Gear had some awkward moments while the guys were working on their chemistry. I do like the idea of "Americanizing" challenges, for lack of a better word.
