These are gorgeous!

I don't know for sure, but I beleive that only the earliest VS '57 Precisions had the raised A poles. They've been flush for a long time.

I purchased like a case of slowounds after they discontinued them! I still have four or five sets, mostly 50,70,85,105 and 45, 65,80,100. I payed like $9 bucks a pack for them.JTE, those D'Addario SloWounds must be pretty old! They haven't made them for awhile. That's all I used to use until I switched to flats several years back. (And they sound great even when they ARE old!)
Most of my basses now wear Chromes.
