amp blew a capacitor need help selecting

It would be cheap insurance to get an ESR meter and check out the rest of the capacitors for signs of failure and/or replace them proactively. After many incidents with cheap Chinese capacitors, I tend to not trust them.

Heard back from Orange today. They have switched the 16v caps in that position for 25v. So check your cap! He said that you have to register your head on their site, but you get an extra year (2 years total) on everything but fuses and tubes. As of today, if you ship it to them they will replace the cap and/or power board and send it back on them. Not sure if that's just for me, all TB500's, or ones within warranty period.

So I checked my cap today on my functioning Terror Bass 500 and guess what I found...:rollno::scowl::crying::help:

Yup. A blown cap with no shroud? like it blew and was removed at some point. It is C116 and I guessing it was the same that has been blowing on other peoples amps? Mine looks like the original version of the amp. (no rev. number and slightly different part placement)The amp works fine though. Obviously won't be using again until I get a replacement.

*edit* found the cap casing stuck to the top of the psu cover.

Mine is all fixed up. Replaced a few other caps while I was at it. Sounds great. Hopefully won't have any more issues down the road. I really love this amp and plan on using it a lot more.
