And yeah, it sure does sound good. The tube drive is really versatile with the separate gain, drive and blend.

Hey, that looks eerily similar to the Yorkville XS400H!
And yeah, it sure does sound good. The tube drive is really versatile with the separate gain, drive and blend.
Also, it's infested with "roaches"
...I count at least 11 opto-isolator LED/photocell units in there (the black shrinkwrapped bits with four legs).
I don't have anything helpful to contribute here, just couldn't resist a pun. When I saw the first one, I thought "Compressor?", then I saw the other ten...Just a game I play ogling the guts to guess the controls without looking at front/rear panels.
All that breathtaking spaghetti and yet they leave half of a dual triode unused (note the three empty pins). C'mon! Just parallel-strap a gain stage or something! DCCF! Tweed mixer! Line out! Anything!

...As a toob-luvin bottlehead, dogma says anything above above 200W should be heavy enough to bend the path of nearby photons, but my lower vertebrae are jealous...
The real question is: does it fill a room with a unique aroma? I can ID any of my tube amps (while running) by smell.

Wow... When these were in production, I asked Sunn for a schematic, which they provided. I also priced transformers since I was a poor teenager and considered building one. See this, I totally could have done it!
