That dampening board with the 10 watt resistors is cool. Making that class D amp sound a little more tube power ampish. Such an interesting concept to a dummy like me. Love looking at amp porn.

Hartke 3500 Mosfet, Transient Attack. Trying to diagnose the no sound issue, and saw this thread, already had it open so... Almost 35 years of good use.

Briefly had a 3500 back in the 90s and it had a number of cold solder joints. Suggest cleaning/reseating the jacks and connectors, and checking for power with a multimeter. Could also be cold solder joints or possibly a component failure. Can check the preamp by feeding the preamp output (effects send) to another amp and check the power section by plugging into the effects return. If neither works, then that suggests something more fundamental.

Interesting. The "warranty void if removed" statement makes one wonder what is under the red blanket...

I was a bit concerned when I initially started building the amps because there was so much tracing and posting of schematics (predominantly on the guitar / pedal side of things) - it was kind of scary given the small numbers and so much work involved - and I was building in the middle of the night with a newborn that didn't sleep! But in the end, the bass community was awesome and very supportive, and it was a lot of fun! And reliability has been very good!

There is absolutely a culture of appropriating other people's work... and without any shame either.
