Right now I have a Bergantino HT210S (500w @ 4ohm) and a Patterson Audio 2x10 (500w @ 4ohm).

I need more power for some gigs, but also I want something that I can put Double Bass through as well.

I just want an amp that can utilize the 2ohm and the wattage, but also give me the option to downsize if I want to. Plus the versatility of electric to upright.

iAmp 500wcombo from 2000 as a GP amp and SWR custom WM-10 for rehearsals and ultra small gigs. I replaced the WM-10 speaker with one from a Goliath and replaced the fiberglass damping material with foam rubber which in tandem firmed up the bottom end at higher (for this 80 watt amp) volume. I swear by EA for unparalleled response and power for it's size. SWR was the first dedicated bass amp company.

I want something that can be transparent to stay true to my basses sounds, and be able to naturally show a double bass.

I want something powerful, 1000watts at 2ohms...

I want the preamp, or equilization to be sensitive and powerful.

I like tube sound, i am just sick of tube issues.

Maybe the best amp for me is not one of these two, but either way I want to sell my Fafner for a new more powerful head.
