Amp sporadically popping - Any ideas?

Hey All,

I have an Eden Road Runner brain (tube) from the 90's. Love it.
Except that, once turned on for about 10-20 minutes (bass plugged in), it makes a single and unpleasant pop every now and then. Sounds similar to when you unplug before the sound guy kills the mains, or if you have a funky chord where you unplug and...boom!

This has happened in a number of places with different basses.
The other day I just plugged a bass in, turned it on, and let it sit. About 10 mins in, POP! and then another a few minutes later.

This thing is scaring me at gigs and I can't use it anymore.
Any ideas?

Take the unit to a tech and let him/her repair it for you.

Thanks guys. I'm wondering if it could be the jack. This amp has been completely re-soldered with a new tube.
Appreciate the responses.
Need to find the right guy in San Diego...

If it's tube amp, popping sounds can be the caps or even just tubes going out. I just had one of my Fender tweeds do that. We changed one cap out. Problem solved. Tube amps can kill, take it to a pro.
