Ampeg B100R Rocket Bass

Anyone stack two and make a connector so both drivers run in parallel, or will the amp not like that?

I run from the Line Out on the B100R, through a tube mic preamp (ART Tube MP), then into the Power Amp In on a Crate BX160. I get all the Ampeg tone with the extra power of the Crate. The preamp allows me to adjust the gain on the Ampeg to what I want without overloading the Crate. So far, it's been a great setup.

I've had my B100R since '05 and I still haven't played through an amp I liked better.

For what it's worth I use a Fender Tuner pedal PT-100 to split my signal to run two amps. Cheaper than modifying a classic amp and easy to find used. I only do this for fun and not for volume. I put heavy distortion on the other amp and can fade it in and out with the volume pedal.

I had 2 B100r at one point and I used a Radial Bigshot ABY to split the signal to the two. It worked nicely but the top mounted controls made it hard to adjust the bottom amp when the two were stacked and I tend to take out the 810 when I need more power than just a combo anyway.
