Ampeg B100R Rocket Bass

That is just about where I put my B100R. I am also using a Sadowsky Preamp Pedal into the input.
I love mine, both of them 
Actually one is making a funny noise and it's not the ports. It's almost like a slight static on the ends of notes sometimes. Need to look into that. I generally leave one here at home for practice and the other gigs with me. I use a Tuki cover and it looks perfect after about a year of heavy gigging.
Lately I've been setting it at 6,4,4,6 bass to treble. I go back and forth with the mid switch depending on the music and the bass.

Anyone stack two and make a connector so both drivers run in parallel, or will the amp not like that?
I have one but I'm having issues with it.....it breaks up and cuts out randomly....I checked all the connections and wires and can't see anything wrong....when your playing and it cuts out, if you snap the bass string hard it comes back to life...is that a clue?
You can do the old fender trick and go into one input and then plug the second input jack to the input of the second amp. Works fine, although you may need a ground lift on one amp.
Radial Big Shot ABY - works like a charm. I run the top amp's EQ biased towards the high end a bit, while the bottom amp is set up for a fat low end. A Yamaha NE-1 parametric (set flat) runs in front of the Radial and allows me to control the volume of the entire setup. The radial has phase reversal and an isolation transformer to keep everything quiet.
If both amps are identical, what's the point of the Radial Big Shot? Won't a plain Y adapter to both inputs accomplish the same?

1) The Radial has the isolation transformer to filter out hum. I tried it any number of ways with (initially) a B50R and the B100R. There was always some objectionable noise. When I had the opportunity to acquire a second B100R, I just transferred the setup. An added benefit is that the phase reversal has a neat effect on the tone - it's there if I want it.
2) I want to be able to EQ the two amps independently. I like the top amp to "cut" more because it's easier to hear without having to turn up too much. In the small bars where I play, the PA is vocal-only.
3)Tapping into the power amp section requires adding a line in jack to the amp. I'd rather not start modding a great amp - especially since the cost of having a tech do the work would easily eclipse the cost of the Radial.

I heard that also. The way you described it is spot on. I opened up the amp part and gave all the pots and jacks a good deoxit job. I also gave all my bass's output jacks the same treatment. I believe it has been resolved.
It's not Tolex. No backing, no nothing. It's nothing but textured sheet vinyl.
And yes, it's ridiculously fragile. Not a serviceable covering for a real amp as far as I'm concerned. Get a thick cover and hope for the best.
But on a positive note, you can find the same vinyl shower curtain with this pattern at Waimart for under 4 bucks.
I typoed-I've heard this pattern is available at America's Superstore WALMART. I've not pursued this, but read somewhere that they sold shower curtains with the same pattern and color vinyl as used on Ampegs.

Don't know personally , just passing on info. Stranger things have happened .
I could see how a vinyl manufacturer could multi market a product. Who knows, maybe the shower curtain came first.

It's tolex and it's padded. I have some of the exact same stuff on my 64 B-15N. Now the shower curtain would make a nifty slipcover, and old B-15's do have slipcovers made out of what could be a shower curtain, but the cabs use actual tolex. Might not be quite as good as it was in 64, but what is?

It's exactly what I said -- plain sheet vinyl, no padding, no backing of any kind.
It's also too thick for shower curtains, I should think.
This is a ~2007 Yellville build, so I can't say what happened in previous years nor since.
