wow, let's hope you never make a financial mistake and have to deal with a person like you on the other end.

i would like to predict how far you will get...

i predict from:

here > < to here

you know, both times you've dealt with me on here, you've been rude. you gonna continue?

Surely you're joking. Having copped the Doofus title for this thread, do you really want the Douchebag title too?

a douchebag thing to do would be, oh I dunno, quote every post a person made in a thread, then publicly chastise them for something that doesn't even affect them...I think you have that title squared away, ass.

I got home too late to ring up MF, but I was upset because I was one of the first people to stumble across this thread, but there was a mixup in placing the order, and I had to call, have it cleared, then by the time my order went in, it was backordered. I feel I should have been one of the first ones to get the order in. so to the guys that are on their milkbox pointing down at me, don't act like I'm the only one that gets frustrated when they miss a good deal and get off my arse.

Clearly, you're new. That's Jimmy, and he's playing nice right now.

Complete class, all the way.

Regardless of how you feel man, you're acting like a tool. You're pissed because you missed out on a deal that might not have actually happened to begin with. Total crapshoot on if it was going to actually happen. Try relaxing, you'll live longer.

I'm actually fine. I was upset earlier, but not permanently. just slightly miffed I missed out, really. and because "that's Jimmy", he's allowed to be rude to people without any expected backlash? so...if I just a chronically unsavory board member, it would just be accepted without penalty? not to derail the thread, but I mean is this how it just "goes" around here?

Now here's a question for you guys that had your orders in...

If SOME of these guys actually get one of these amps for the $50.00 price tag (that of course is IF!) then wouldn't MF be liable to provide ALL the orders??

I mean, I really doubt that they will get theirs delivered, but what if!?!?!

Just asking...

Where's the law that says a business is required to sell an item to everyone at the same price?

No need to get all worked up. You said liable which implies legal obligation...hence the "law" comment. The short answer to your question is no.

I didn't realize that you had your JD....Let's see if I can give you a hand here, Counselor:

Actually, it DOES imply a legally binding contract. They were sold to the customers. They then corrected themselves, which they are, indeed entitled to; (but IF they deliver ANY of the products to the customers at the aforementioned price) they ARE bound by contractual law (between the seller and the buyer) to honor ALL the orders. They, (MF), took the orders and, apparently the customers money. That, Counselor, is called an "Interstate binding faduciary contract to deliver goods". If they refuse, the customers who PURCHASED the product FOR THE AGREED PRICE would have to plead damages and the company (MF) would be required to show just cause for not fullfilling ALL the orders.

As I understand it, Mind you, I did NOT get in on the "Sale", but again, apparently there was no limit - to include time - to purchase the product at the price stated on-line. The Company (MF) after taking a number of orders simply corrected the "supposed misprint" and negated the orders (again, their perrogative) But the simply Can NOT send out a few here and there.

And I'm not worked up. I was merely asking a hypothetical.

How's that for a short answer?

I don't mod this forum, go ask them. Jimmy and I have had some discussions in the past and he's a great guy in my forums. Not to mention, IMO, he was simply stating a fact.

If you have an issue with the way things are run here, talk to the mods privately, don't derail a thread like this.

My apologies to the OP for taking it off topic again.

Hopefully someone gets one at this price, if for nothing else the story behind the amp when you pull it out. :D

Short answer is still no.

I know exactly what you mean...I was at the office in a meeting, came out, got on the computer, heard the buzz, ran to the site, but it was too late..

Ah well....hell, I didn't need one anyway (at least that's what my Wife said...) :smug:

Funny, but this reminds me of a case (last year or maybe 2?) where a retail company (around Christmas time) offered flat screens for something like $49.95 - 60 inch TVs....I don't remember the exact details but something like 1,000 people bought and paid for them....the company then (obviously) renegged.

Seems as though I recall the case being adjudicated and the folks who bought one got their TVs in the settlement.

But I don't recall the exact details now..
