Ampeg BA115 with extention cab

I really like the tone of these amps, but there not quite loud enough for my needs. Does anyone have any experience with this amp paired with a cab?

At least on mine, there is no output for an extension cab, just an xlr out.

Just a thought lads, XLR out to an actively powered sub-cab? Cross-over cabling shouldn't be too awful tricky. I might be over-thinking this, but used sub-cabs are cheap-as-chips...

Why use a sub ?

Behringer MIG 18" Sub-box immediately available, but don't want the PA to muddle me. Our sanger & twangers tend to get greedy volume-wise, I could share with our kicker though....
