The Aux definitely works through the speakers on a BA 210. Love the amp! Thinking about pairing it up with a PF 115-LF. Anyone try out that combo yet? Hoping to try it out at Bass Central this weekend.

Ampeg ba210 v2,anybody have a review ?

I have not tried that pairing - but right now using a Memorial Day coupon code and Ampeg's $100.00 rebate - you can get a second BA210-V2 for $325.00 (after rebate). Then you have a perfect match for an extension speaker - and a built in backup amp. I just ordered my second one from Samash.com. A great deal!
Interesting idea. How did you get it for $325? I'm seeing $399 after rebate. Any coupons out there I don't know about?
I used a Memorial Day coupon code. If you don't have the code (or can't find it with google) you can get one using the "chat" function on Samash's website. They do charge tax for three different states - but not mine (AZ).
I'm thinking about this amp. Not sure. I've gigged the hell out of a Bassman TV-15. Not sure why I'm interested in this, I think I have some Ampeg Envy. However, I'm concerned it won't be loud enough. Anybody hit the road with this amp, and have success in the mix?
I didn't "tour" with mine but I gigged it hard for over a year. Had mine paired with a pf210he cab. It was plenty loud to keep up with our punk drummer turned country drummer. He was heavy handed at times. It's a solid amp.

I think people tend to underestimate how loud you can get with 150w. Sure, not the loudest amp on earth, but by no means is it quiet.
Could any of you folks help me out? I just picked up a BA-210 new from an online retailers. I plugged it in and the BA115 I bought at the same time and I notice the BA210 has a buzzing sound (not just the fan but maybe some sort of noise in the electronics from the fan?) and it gets louder if I turn the AUX volume up. This noise is there even if I don't have anything plugged into the amp.
Is this normal for this model or do I have a defective product? Once I notice the sound I can't ignore it. The BA115 is silent and I love it but I really prefer the punchy sound of the BA210 and wish it didn't have so much buzzing sound coming from it.

Hello guys, I'm planing to get the Ampeg BA-210, I have some questions, hope you can help me
1) the manual says its 450w, can you confirm that the combo delivers 450w as is? I dont want to get a cab, just the combo
2) is it good enough for playing live with lots of fuzz in a doom/stoner drop D 3-piece band? Venues for a 100 people or such, bars, small theatres, outdoors, etc

1. 283w as it sits, adding an extension cab makes it 450w.
2. A 210 enough to play doom? I suppose it would be if you want to have the world's quietest doom band
i own the ba210 and imo, it will do just fine in a doom metal band. Played a venue last and didn't have the volume past 3. That's with a loud drummer. I know for a fact it'll be loud enough especially if you can run xlr to the pa!
Hey everyone! This may not be entirely relevant to this thread, but it seems to have the most recent commentary on the BA210v2. I'm a relatively new player (about 1 yr) but progressing pretty well. Currently, practicing with a Rumble 40w and GASsing for an upgrade. As far as tone, power and features I've narrowed it down to the Ampeg BA210v2, PF500 or PF350 w/some sort of 210, likely the PF210he. Mostly playing in the bedroom right now, but have some potential opportunities to jam with some other fellas in the garage. At 50 y.o. I'm mostly a hobbyist and play for my own enjoyment but who knows where it may lead from here. Genres are classic and prog rock (RUSH) and blues. Playing a Sire MM VV7 and a Squire VM Jaguar w/SD PJ pups and Omega bridge mods. Any experiences, opinions or recommendations re: these options is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I think the PF line is better sounding but the BA210 is no slouch, plus it's cheaper and less time consuming to set up.
Hi all, I know this is originally an old thread but I just replaced my ampeg ba112 with one of these ba210s and I love it. It was a toss up between a head and cab or a higher wattage combo but seen as I already loved the tone from my ba112 I went with the 210 and I'm not disappointed atall, if anything is sounds better than the 112 I had. It's early days but there has been zero problems so far, no buzzing, tweeter works fine and it's loud as hell. Can't wait to get a cab plugged into it aswell.
Great info. Helped me decide to take the plunge on the 210v2. I did however have a defective one right out of the box first try but Guitar Center swapped it out. the lower 10" was making a weird crackle sound seeming similar to what was described earlier in the thread. We monkeyed around with it in the store for a bit and their tech guy was stumped as to what was specifically wrong other than it sucked.
Second one sounds great to my ears. A huge step up in sound from my Fender Rumble 150 that just croaked. I did notice the "white noise" seems a bit loud on mine but nothing crazy (with everything dialed off). It definitely is the new champ for idle hum over my EV 500w PA's but well worth it for the bump in tone and clarity.
