I always thought this was a proper Ampeg cab. Played one once in GC around 1999. Remember it being quite dark but earthquake sounding. Probably only good for reggae but I'd rock 1-2 for a d00m band.

OK, so it's 32 10's, and is paired with a 600w SVT head that's actually two separate SVT power amps sharing one preamp. These were made back in the late 80's for Jeff Pilson of Dokken (and now Foreigner) to use on a Monsters Of Rock tour. There are two of them...one is a CL style, one is an AV style. The AV one was sold and resides somewhere in France now, and the CL version is what Ampeg is apparently bringing to NAMM this week, with Derek Smalls of Spinal Tap giving it a good thrashing. Been a while since they brought it out...glad I was able to go this year!
