derogaroty term for Italians; synonomous with dago, wop, and guido. I grew up with these terms targeted at me to which I simply replied "I'm an American of Italian decent" Pretty much made people re-think what they were saying as we are all American's first and formost (and that I am proud and thankful for) Oh- yes, 7Pro and 2 Berg HS210's all the way if I can't bring my SVT VR and 8x10. ( F Y I ...Jim Bergantino is a pisano!!! )

I see your from central NY. I grew up in Utica (left in 1999) and married a lovely Italian girl there.

I remember hearing the greaseball term growing up (not towards me as I'm not italian) but in a region with a higher population of Italians and their family cultural values that term could get you a punch in the face. Sadly, terms like that have alot to do with ignorance. Some people have no idea what it means and use it not knowing it's history.

All of those amps have basically the same voice- what differentiates them is the available power and the feature set. I attended a clinic with Dino (The Ampeg Guy) and they had lined up on the stage several of the small Ampeg combo amps, a PF500, 7-Pro, some others, as well as an SVT-CL with 810. Guess what? They all had basically the same "Ampeg" tonal character, and they all sounded good.

Exactly, which why in the absence of weight or size considerations I chose the 8Pro.

But I'll take my old SVT over any of them any day, anyway.
