Why would you think Celestion was the OEM? They didn't even make a bass speaker back in that era.
Why would you use a Neo driver in that otherwise heavy cabinet?
Why would you put significant more dollars in this cabinet?

I built two 1x15 cabs like you with Radio Shack 15s and ran them with this, a Marantz 8B

The good 'ol days weren't all that great in reality. Time passed seems to make the heart grow fonder and the memory foggier.
Really?! There were multiple suggestions of using EQ back on page 1. EQ is separate and exterior to the internal crossover. EQ is for treating the entire signal before entering the speaker, and offending frequencies can be identified and filtered before reproduction.
The crossover is specific to discriminating the frequencies it receives and directing them to the appropriate speaker. This is fundamental to any signal path. In your case EQ is required to filter out the offending frequency and that isn't the job of the crossover.
Source -> signal boost (preamplification) -> tone shaping (equalization) -> amplification -> speaker discrimination (crossover) -> speaker
Understand and address each link in this signal chain. Otherwise it's like working on your transmission when your carburetor is clogged.
No sooner does one guy recommend a certain Parametric EQ then one of the gurus says it won't do much.
I am being helpful, you are being stubborn (NOT determined).Yes you guys have made thus abundantly clear.

Sounds to me like @agedhorse. Isn't really being as helpful in making recommendations as he is in trying dissuade me from continuing with the Isovent.
Once my friend finsihes ReWiring it then wr will see what to do next.
I gave you a great one since you are loving the line arrays on post #319.Maybe the next time I will go to something far "More Modern".

Andy is trying toSounds to me like @agedhorse. Isn't really being as helpful in making recommendations as he is in trying dissuade me from continuing with the Isovent.
What’s clear is you’ve been not listening. Buy something else and move on. Andy knows what he’s taking about and then some, you don’t. You on the other hand have a cab that isn’t worth all this hassle. Masterful troll job I will give you that.Yes you guys have made thus abundantly clear.

Or go into any music shop and anything that is more than a single 12 will out preform that isovent cab, and weigh a lot less than it also.
I’ll say this for Nick the OP...he’s posted a question, hasn’t seemed too swayed by the multiple answers he’s gotten, he’s got a 33-page thread that has stalled, apparently while waiting for some simple rewiring to happen...he’ s even issued some defiant chiding and stubborn refusal to acknowledge the information this thread has been chock full of, despite its length.
It can be frustrating to be asked for help, offer it, and have some or all of it disregarded.
I can relate to some of where Nick the OP seems to be coming from, in the same way that I could see where a guy might think it would be fun to swap an Olds 455 into an old step van: “I wanted to do it, thought it might be fun, and I’m the one who has to drive it, not you.”
But one thing Nick the OP has not done was insult anybody. I have no real investment in this other than a few suggestions and comments, but I have cringed at some of the angry responses and finally felt moved to say that at the word “stupid.” I think anyone getting that annoyed with the way this thread is going ought to move on, read something else and not resort to insults.
This reproachful message brought to you by the “I might be a cupcake in real life but I would say that to your face” department.
No need to bi-amp, it is crossed over perfectly for you.The Genzler cabs look really good. I bi-amp during practice and like the Genzler concept.
No need for a complicated eq and seperate power amp set up.The Mesa Subway 215 looks good.
So does the Genzler system.
The Crown Drivecore Amplifiers look good also.
And so to does the Rolls RPQ.
No need for a complicated eq and seperate power amp set up.
They also do fantastic 6-ish lbs 800 watt amps, that fit in a small bag that you carry on your back.
