FYI: "Levelling Amplifier" is basically an English name for a compressor... usually a variable mu comp, which behaves differently from the Dynacomp you have. I had an Altec and a Gates around here which are both called "Levelling Amplifiers" It's just an old-fashioned term for "compressor."

But the Dynacomp is a great compressor - it just doesn't have much control over how it behaves. Guitar pickers used to love them because it made the notes pop (because it's relatively slow to react and fast to change.)

I really like the Dyna Comp because I can take the Rattling out of the Rafters while getting a good bass sound.

It is doing Exactly what I want it to do.

Looks like a fun rig to mess around with parameters and having the media player and metronome into the mixer sounds handy.

I’d like to mess around with a bi-amp rig sometime to get a feel for what different crossover frequencies sound like, for starters.

I definitely want one.

Can the BA15 be stacked 3 high?

I want 3 high.

I see where the BA12 can be stacked 3 high but can the BA15 also be stacked 3 high?

I used to run a bi-amped rig until a few months ago when I got my Mesa WD 800.
I used a Carvin BX1500 bi-amp head:

I like Bi-Amping. I can run a dirty top, which tends to compress, while keeping a clean bottom, uncompressed, and this keeps the sound expanded.

I doubt I can or will go back to any other way.

And NO! I am NOT giving up on the Isovent.

Anyway, for the time being, I have Other Irons in the Fire, and if you look, the Isovent (minus the Isobraic Loading) is similar in concept, and the precursor, to what we see today.

If we can get it to fully work properly then it will make a nice addition.

Sort like an older B15 or B18.

Sure, but you should not need the third.

Many are filling a medium size rooms with just two of the 1x10's, and two of the 12's cover anything, but a third is fun.

They work different than what you are use to and really cut through. With the use of the 3" cones for the mids and highs the highs are not as piercing as with a tweeter, so the top is there but smoother.
Though it looks modern and is, it does vintage mids great.

I am interested.

I like the 115 and 212 modules - as pictured.

I could live with that.

Or simply two of the 115 modules.

I have always wanted something that uses three 15 inch modules, or a small tower with three 15s.

I realized this morning that the lowest stage wouldn't be angled, but then the next two would be, and this is a good way to stack three, as pictured here with the three 12s. However I want something that goes strong Down to Low B, and when reading through the specs, it looks like the 15s are the best choice, so building a stack of three 15s is probably my best option.

I am definitely going to look into this.

Ay Doc,

There is Nothing Wrong with my having an Errant Ampeg Isovent sitting around in my basement so I can enjoy playing through a failed experiment.

I think it is a cool cab and I am having fun with it.

When I begin gearing up for playing gigs then I will think about a Genzler.

I mean there are people who just happen to have really well refurbished B15s and B18s in their homes, and there is Nothing Wrong with my having an Isovent in my house.

I just think it is a cool cabinet.

Maybe you dont but I do.
