Like I said in another thread, I hope they do right like the B15 and VR and we don't get another V4BH. Also I think the same head box as a SVT, just light, with a vertical 4x12 cab like a berg or aguilar layout would be KILLER.

If it isn't priced like a heritage series, I'd be interested, as long as the pre was different than the SVT
I measured my old V4-B at 122 watts RMS < 5% THD with 7027A's. 6550's measured at 138 watts RMS < 5% THD. That's not bad at all for a "100 watt" amp from 1973, this was done in 1994. Line voltage was 118 VAC unregulated.

If they could put it in a box the size of the micro VR so it would stack on a couple of SVT210AV's it could be a cool little rig. Might be a little top heavy, though.
It should be like the original with 7027 output tubes.

I agree with Jim, the 7027A model was very special and it would be nice to see that model reissued. The transformer set was massive and that's what helped make this amp the performer that it was.
I think that more than likely they would go with the redesigned V-4BH version from a few years ago. The V-4BH power section was based on a quartet of 6L6GT tubes. The small signal tubes were 12AX7 and 12AU7. They've already got the design engineering and it was approved. If they wanted to rush a product to market to help fill the 100W hole, this would be the easiest and fastest way to go.

Disappointing as well. I did not like the V4BH at all. I love my SVT's and my old Portaflex but that particular model did nothing for me.
That said, I'm excited to see what Ampeg has in store. Something that competes with the Fender 100T directly would be killer!

You might, but a reach if the V4BH makes it a deal breaker for me. I'm not crazy about the SVT pre at all.
