Hell yes. And photos like yours contribute to this feeling.
Actually yes, you NEED one. And a Heritage 810 to put it on top of

They are the same cab. The only difference is that speakons were new back in the late 90s and SLM added an N to denote Neutrik. Only lasted about a year.HEN is 500W RMS and sealed vs HE 400W RMS, my bad..
That'll be funThanks folks. A lot of fantastic food for thought! It looks like a fridge it is. Ifound one in nice shape for $400 and a good condition SVT 4PRO/810 package for $900.
Thanks Again,
Gene
His current rig is a Carvin R600 head bi-amped into 1- 2x10" and 1- 1x15" Carvin cabs.
Both of those cabinets are meant to be ran full-range. You'll likely find a massive increase in tone simply by no longer biamping and plugging one cabinet straight into the other.
I mean, we all want an SVT so by all means get one, but the Carvin can be better than it currently is, both immediately and for free.
410he being close to half a 810
Then again I'm surprised and nice to see real world comments here.
410 is a ass to load and a deadlift
It is absolutely easier in every way to load a 810 and even easier to roll one. Regardless of weight.
Being I toured with a pair of particle board 810s for years. I'd rather have 2 x810 then even imagining how dreadful 4x410 would be. To me even a particle board 810 isn't that bad.
Question is lol. How is that big 810 gonna make your 10 watt guitar amp feel.
However generic people may feel a 810 loaded with legend speakers is. Unfortunately they are legends for a reason.
Likewise aside from higher power G12 or the generic Marshall stack.
Let me remind you that a 30 watt or 40 watt 6L6 pair has it's magic as well in the guitar world
Likewise of the six million guitar speakers out there the Vintage 30 has it's benchmark.
So yah know a V30 loaded 212 cabinet and a 6L6 pair wouldn't be asking for to much....
Open back single driver combos have their place. But a large sealed back 2x12 has some presence and depth
The bane of my existence, as a guitarist has always been the phrase "WOW, your guitar sounds fantastic, can you just turn it down a little bit?" Of course, my little amps always get a mic on them! I never did, but I always use a rug and a cover when I have to slide it.A curiosity here: Has anyone ever bothered installing skid rails on one or both sides of the 810 boxes, to help preserve the Tolex? Many of the used ones I see have fairly nice, intact Tolex on the backs (where the rails are), while the sides are shredded or bare!
Just Curious?
