Ampeg Rocket Bass Combos

Does anyone know if the DI is pre EQ? I've tried to find it in the documentation but there is no mention of it, I'm thinking it's pre.

Post EQ. It sends the wet signal AFTER the SGT, after the tone stack, and after the effects send/return if the model has it. Here is schematic from the 110.

On the 112, 115, and 210, the effects send/return is right after tone circuit BEFORE the DI out.
Hope this helps @Samatza !

Thanks, that helps a lot. Would have been nice if it was switchable but a lot of combos are post these days.

Here’s what I’m speculating here: while the RB line is an Ampeg take on affordable, light modern combos that mirrors what the Rumbles offer, we may see a more feature-rich and pricey line in the future that reflects the GK Legacy line and others like it. Just a guess based on nothing. But if it seems like a smart business move, I believe Yamaha is smart enough to judge the market.

Does anyone think they’ll putout a stand alone SGT in pedal form? It seems to have a different sound than the Scrambler. Seems like money left on the table if they don’t. I’d consider one.
Nothing's off the table if it can sell. And if it's that improved from the Scrambler, they should totally do a separate pedal and an updated SCR-DI.

But I must put in a good word for the Scrambler circuit itself. I thought it needed work on its low end response when you turn the drive up in the BA amps and SCR-DI. You really had to EQ the whole thing to use it past just a tiny buzz and switching it in and out was impossible. But they fixed that in the standalone Scrambler pedal, and it's been my favorite mild OD pedal since I got it. Sounds like they got the SGT right in these combos, so I'll be looking forward to seeing what else comes out behind them with it onboard, especially a separate drive pedal.

But the Scrambler pedal stays :D

The Scrambler pedal is great for mild . I use it on every amp I have .

Bravo Ampeg,

Was never a big Fender amp fan and these definitely are Ampegs answer to the Rumble line.
I love that the RB 210 has a mutable horn (always removed or bypassed them anyway) if I was to buy a combo it would be one of these. I had been entertaining the BA210B prior.
Funny (but not funny) this morning a post ahead of this was about one of you returning his Rumble (more than once) for crapping out after 2 hours of use. Would like to hear more on the reliability of these.
